It's the best time of the blogging year - it's a free ad space giveaway!  Now, technically, this happens a few times a year, but if you are a blogger you'll want in on this action.

This time, I am teaming up with 17 other bloggers to giveaway a total of twenty-three (that's right, TWENTY-THREE) ad spaces!  That means that 23 lucky readers will walk away with FREE ad space, no strings attached!  The spaces being given away range from 200x200 spots to in-post ads, and are from bloggers you've all heard of and love!

Ad Space Giveaway - The So-Called Homemaker
The rules are pretty simple: 1. Open to everyone, including our out-of-country friends! 2. All entries will be verified. Although we are saving you some time by not asking for your username for Instagram, Bloglovin', etc., your entry will be verified before you can be declared a winner. If one of your entries cannot be verified, you will be disqualified completely! 3. One ad space per winner...that means there will be a total of 23 unique winners from this giveaway! Blogger Love v.44 + Bigs & Littles

Here we are, at the end of the week, just waiting for the weekend to begin.  How do my weeks seem to get shorter and shorter?  It's finally sunny and hot outside so I would love for time to just slow down a bit.

In case you missed it, this week I shared my May shopping recap, $240 giveaway and a delicious summer drink!  I highly suggest you try the drink out this weekend.

There were also a lot of posts by others that caught my attention this week.  I wanted to take a moment to share them with you for Blogger Love!

"Her Name Was Mia" by Ember Grey.  I am always captivated by Emily's writing.  This story and reflection is no different.  A must read!

"Girly Things That I'm No Good With" by Alanna & Company.  I could relate to some of these, and others described my girly side perfectly!

"New Bloglovin Widgets, New Blogger Layout and How to Center Every Element on Your Blog's Sidebar" by Venus Trapped in Mars.  Quick, easy tutorials for Blogger = yes please and thank you!

"When Communities Give Back" by The Rambling Llama.  I love what this organization in Melissa's community is doing.  It's so important!

"5 Reasons Why Your Child Should Have a Job" by Love the Here and Now.  100 times yes.  We are teaching E the value in work now, and I fully support this!

Do you have some favorite posts by others you'd like to share?  Link up below!  Be sure to click around and find some new-to-you blogs!

I also wanted to introduce you to Ashley from Keeping Up with Ashley and Cody.  I was paired with her for the Bigs & Litttles Networks and have had a great time getting to know her better.  I've been reading her blog for awhile now, so it was fun to dig a little deeper and have email conversations.

Ashley writes about sponsoring, which can be a scary process but her reasons for doing so are spot on.  She also has a series Learning in the Kitchen, which is something I desperately need to do (and I'm secretly happy I'm not the only one that needs help here!)

Ashley is changing up her link up, which will now include prizes so be sure to check that out!

This was my first experience with this network, but won't be my last.  I love how we had an opportunity to learn from each other and am looking forward to many more conversations with Ashley.

May Shopping Recap + Giveaway!

May was a bit of a spendy month for me.  I was fresh off my spending freeze and trying to figure out how much to budget for myself.  In the meantime, I shopped and ate and drank like I wasn't on a budget at all - partly because I wasn't, and partly because I knew I soon would be.  It probably wasn't the best course of action, but I got a lot of great things that I have been needing (and of course, some that I didn't!).

1 - Kate Spade "One in a Million" Necklace - M.  I used a Nordstrom note for this purchase - they are normally around $50.  I got it in silver and love it!

2 - Daniel Rainn - I snatched up three new tops.  I love how they are flowy with fun prints.  These were a Nordstrom Rack find, so about $20 each.  I will be buying more - I love how I can wear them to work with a jacket or sweater, or wear them on their own on weekends.

3 - Baby Lips.  I have a bit of an obsession with these.  I love how they make your lips so soft (the name doesn't lie!) but also give you a bit of color.  I might have at least six different shades.  They are cheap though - seriously just go pick up one to try!

4 - Kate Spade Watch.  This was my Mother's Day gift, so I'm not sure I should count it in my shopping recap, but it's definitely a favorite so I had to include it!

5 - Burt's Bees Brightening Even Skin Tone Moisturizing Cream.  This gem cost about $20, at Target, and I will probably never try another moisturizer.  Smells amazing, goes on smoothly and doesn't leave my face feeling greasy.  I've noticed a bit of a change in my skin tone and I feel like I look more "awake".  A new, and probably forever, favorite.

6 - Jack Rogers Sandals.  These were another Nordstrom Rack find - and a steal at that.  I spend just $26 on these beauties, and got them in that exact color.

7 - (I am bolding this because it is that important).  I finally have found my forever-fitting, love-them, loyal-customer brand of jeans.  Did you catch the Blogger Love post where I shared Sarah's post about medium sized girls not being able to find the perfect pants?  Well friends, here are mine.  Democracy brand.  They are all "curvy" and fit like a dream.  I tried one pair on and immediately bought all of the other styles they had.  Another Nordstrom Rack find.

8 - Kate Spade purse.  It was May 1, I could officially shop again, and there was a sale.  Enough said.  It's also the perfect summer color!

Of my shopping picks, there are a few obvious things to note - I should not be allowed in Nordstrom Rack without supervision.  I also should block myself from Kate Spade emails.  What do you think of my finds?  I like to keep it honest here, so don't expect much for my June spending - I'm a girl on a budget these days!

In case you have your eye on anything fun for June, I've teamed up with some lovely ladies to bring one of you $240 CASH.  Enter on!

Dreams Do Come True (+Giveaway!)

This past weekend was a big one for me.  If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw that I spent Sunday night with my five main guys from childhood.  Those guys would be New Kids on the Block - and I'm here to tell you that it was just as amazing as my 10 year old self had wished it would be!

The majority of my elementary school years were consumed with NKOTB.  I had t-shirts, oversized buttons, a sleeping bag, countless posters, and of course all of the cassette tapes.  Joey was (is) my favorite - after all, he was one of my first crushes.  Every Friday night for a year straight, my best friend and I would have sleepovers and watch the videos of their concerts.  We'd dance and sing along with them, wishing and hoping that they would come to our hometown and we could see them.  They never did (or, my parents have a lot of explaining to do), so that dream eventually faded.

When my besties and I learned that they were coming to Chicago, we jumped at the chance to see them.  Even better, Nelly and TLC were opening - which was a complete college flashback and absolutely enjoyed.

After dancing and singing/yelling for three hours, my ears were ringing and I was exhausted but it was all so worth it.  My head was flooded with memories of my childhood and it reminded me of the days where my biggest concerns were getting my next perm or catching the ice cream truck in time.

I might have waited 25 years for this moment, but it was worth the wait!  Here is my main man, Joey, singing directly to me.  Isn't it obvious?

Now, on to your dreams!  Who doesn't dream of Target - more specifically, free giftcards to Target?  I've joined with six other amazing ladies to bring you a $70 Target gift card! Enter below and good luck!

Love Is In the Air (+Something for You!)

Here is a little known fact about me - I am a hopeless romantic.  I love love!  When I see older couples being lovey-dovey, or hear about high school sweethearts that are now married - my inner romantic sings with joy.

This week in particular has made me feel the warm fuzzies.  Ten years ago on Tuesday, Tim proposed to me.  I obviously said "yes", and every year on the 21st I am reminded of that very special day.  Also, this weekend, we are going to our first wedding of the wedding season and I am truly excited!  I don't think I will ever stop loving weddings.

My favorite part is receiving the invitation.  I feel giddy opening it -  it's like the first impression of the entire day.  The theme, colors, and style can all be felt immediately.  Fancy, black tie?  Outdoor wedding?  Laid-back and focused on fun?  I can feel that just from invitation.  My love for stationary and all things paper related might have a little influence on this.

I recently had the opportunity to review wedding invitations from minted, and let me tell you, they made me want to plan my wedding all over again.  You can order a free sample set, which is a great way to see and feel the products.  Each design is customizable, including colors, shape of the invite and type of paper.  You can truly make something exactly how you want it.  Here are some of my favorite designs:

I love the small pop of color.  This is the perfect invite for an outdoor, barn themed wedding.  You know the one - complete with mason jar drinks and cowboy boots!

Class.  Gold.  Polka-dots.  Almost all of my favorite things!

This is another great option for an outdoor wedding.  I love the lights on the tree, but I get the feeling that the wedding would be fun, full of friends and family.

This would be great for a traditional wedding - in a church, with the reception at a trendy restaurant (or somewhere of the sort).  Love the pop of gold!

I love how simple this invite is!  I feel like it really makes the focus on the couple - which, really, is how all weddings should be.

What do you think?  minted not only has invites, but they have adorable plannersbusiness cards and so many other wonderful products.  And who doesn't love paper and paper products?  I know I am not the only one.  minted knows how much you'll love their products, that they are giving one of you a $50 store credit - to be used on anything you'd like!

Blogger Love v.37 + The So-Called Homemaker

There is one thing I know for sure - blogging is special to me because of my blogging friends, whom I've quickly learned are more than just "blogging friends".  Christine just wrote about our tribe, and today I wanted to introduce you to her!

Where can we find you on a typical Saturday morning?
Since it's Six Flags season, you can find me at Six Flags on most Saturdays AND Sundays.  My husband and I love to take our daughter.  We have so much fun!

Dogs or Cats?
Both!  Is that a cheating answer?  (sort of...) I think they are both fun, but I will say that I don't like aloof cats.  Only cuddly cats.

Tell us more about your childhood dream of being an exterminator! (My worst nightmare).
Haha.  I really don't remember much about it.  I think I just wanted to be like my dad and that's what he did, so there you have it!  I do remember having rubber spiders that I would keep in my room after they were used for my exterminator Halloween costume.  (Noooooo!)

Being in real estate, what is your biggest piece of advice for someone buying and selling?
Work with an agent!  I swear this isn't bias... never try to buy or sell a house by yourself.  There are so many complicated parts of a real estate transaction that only an agent can really understand.  Bonus points: work with a Realtor.  They are usually far more knowledgeable than those who aren't a part of the National Association (because more classes are required of them).

Find more of Christine here:

I also have two favorite posts to share with you today for Blogger Love!  Want to link up?  We'd love to have you!  Please share at least one post by a blogger other than yourself in your post, and link up below.

"He's Not a Baby Anymore" by Southern Hope.  Whitney writes about how emotional it is to watch your little ones grow up.  YES.  My baby A is turning two this summer, and I have been struggling with how she isn't a baby anymore.  Don't even get my started on E starting kindergarten this Fall.  Ouch.  And all the tears.

"You Are Not Less than a Woman" by Becoming Adorrable.  Becca writes about how we all have different roles in our lives, and not one is better than another.  No matter if you work, stay home, are a mom, are not, you are not less of a woman.  Great message for all of us!

Journal Swap Creative + Giveaway

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  We went to a huge indoor waterpark with some of our friends from Minnesota, and had a blast!  The girls had so much fun splashing around, they are now exhausted, and we managed to have a few adult cocktails.  Win win win.

Last month, two of my faves - Anne and Cassie hosted a swap that I knew I wanted to be a part of.  During the Journal Swap Creative, I was paired with Kasey, and I quickly discovered that she was the best partner I could have had.  She is hilarious, open and completely down to earth.  If you don't know her yet, you need to!

Be ALL of those things.  Every day.  I wanted a journal so that I could start writing down one good thing from each day, to look back on, and this message fits that perfectly.  Not to mention the adorable mini clipboard and paper binders.  Thanks Kasey!

Today I'm also excited to debut my first hosted giveaway for my sponsors!  These lovely ladies and I have teamed up to give one lucky reader a $50 Sephora giftcard.  I know my wishlist would love to have this!  If you are interested on getting in on the next giveaway, check out my sponsorship options here.  All options (including button swaps!) are included.  Enter below and Good Luck!

A Blogiversary, Reader Survey and Giveaway - Oh My!

Happy Monday Everyone!  This month is a big one for All the Joys - exactly one year ago, I was in the process of beginning this little space of mine.  I was choosing a design, figuring out the crazy tech stuff (that I still don't understand), locking down my social media accounts - and on March 30, I hit publish on my very first post.  I've come a long way since then, and I know there are so many more opportunities to take advantage of.

To celebrate, I wanted to reflect on the last year, and see where my opportunities lay for the future.  This is where you come in.  I have a very quick Reader Survey that I would love some feedback on.  As a reward - the password for a $25 Amazon giftcard giveaway will be given at the end.  (Along with another surprise!)

I am looking forward to taking your feedback and merging them with my blogging goals.  I honestly never thought that I would be here a whole year later, and now I can't imagine not coming to this space, to each of you.

You can find the survey here.  Thank you, and Good Luck with the giveaway!

Blogger Love v. 30 with Lot 48

I can't believe it has been thirty weeks since I began this link up.  Thirty!  Some sort of large celebration needs to occur when we hit one year, but until then, let's keep sharing our favorite posts by others and spread the #bloggerlove!

This week, I have an awesome co-host, Lauren from Lot 48.  Lauren is the type of blogger that you would want to hang out with for a day - she's sweet, genuine, and doesn't hold back.  She shares stories and emotions and really lets her readers get to know her.

Speaking of getting to know her, I've some questions that I think you'll like:

Where can we find you on a typical Saturday morning?
In bed!!  I am a champion sleeper and usually sleep until noon on the weekends!! Then I run errands and spend the whole day reading and cuddling with my husband.

Dogs or cats?  Why?
Dogs!! Dogs dogs dogs!! I am so allergic to cats and also, I don't like cats.  Their tiny little skeleton like bodies are really creepy to me.

What was the biggest lesson you've learned during your first year of marriage?
Give service to each other.  My husband is an expert at this but I am not so much so I have been trying to do better.

What's your biggest guilty pleasure?
Keeping Up with the Kardashians!!  I LOVE them!  Whenever I feel like my life is falling apart, I watch their show and I just think "Wow this is so messed up! I have it so good!" Best comedy on tv, the Kardashians.

Where is your dream vacation?
Travel all over Europe.  Hit the big cities like Paris, Barcelona, Athens, Rome, Amsterdam, Germany.  All those countries and cities.

What's the biggest piece of blogging advice you've received?
Respond to comments!  It really makes readers loyal.  I always try to thank them for reading the blog and thank them for commenting.

You can find more of Lauren here:

And now on to my favorites from this week.  I don't have as many as usual, as I'm still playing catch up from my whirlwind of a week.  We might just have to add a few extra next week!

"Tips for Prepping a Recipe Post" by Wetherills Say I Do.  Food blogging isn't something I do often, but when I do share a recipe, my pictures are horrible.  No shame!  Maybe these tips can help me make the food look a little better.

"Eye Opening" by Simply Complex Mom.  The eyes say so much about our souls - Liz perfects this.  I loved reading this, and felt happier while doing so.

So, what are you favorites?  Link up with Lauren and I below!

And in case you missed it... here's a great giveaway!

Blogger Love v.29

Each week, this little link up amazes me more and more.  New people join, great new blogs (to me) are shared, and I connect with more and more people.  I hope you'll join me again and share your favorite posts from the week!  Also, don't forget to check out the end of this post - I have two giveaways for you!

Let's get right to my faves:

"Putting It All Out There" by The Daily Tay.  Tay writes about her lifelong dream, and why she is working towards it.  I wholeheartedly agree - dreams should never just be dreams.  Do what you need to to make them a reality!

"Carnival Confessions" by The Kay Times.  I love learning about different cultures and their customs.  Kay shares with us about Carnival - where the entire country shuts down to celebrate.  I've decided that someday I need to experience this for myself!

"Introducing: Adproval Courses" by Sage.  I made the switch to Adproval and couldn't be happier.  Cassie is offering courses on why and how to switch or choose Adproval, and it just makes me happy.  I wish every blogger would use them!  You can read more about my decision to switch here)

What were your favorite posts by other bloggers this week?  Share them with us below!  Click around, say hi, and find some new blogs to follow!

Oh So Happy + Giveaway

You know, there really is a lot in life that make me happy.  Every day things like chocolate, smiles from the littles, a heartfelt hug from my husband.  To the bigger moments, like hearing that I am going to get a niece this summer, or starting to pack for our upcoming move.

Even with those things, I've been needing daily reminders of these happy moments - simply looking through my phone camera, images of happy are all over the place.  (Including the 20+ daily selfies from A!).  Today I'm sharing just a few of those -

1.  As much as I love winter, my littles are getting antsy being inside all day every day.  Uncooked noodles to the rescue!  A sat and played with these for a good 30 minutes, which for a toddler, is a lifetime.

2.  E's Valentine to Daddy.  I asked her why she loved Daddy, and then wrote her responses.  Some of my favorites - "He makes me yummy food" and "He takes me trick or treating".  Adorable.

3.  My silly boy, Charlie.  He sleeps in the weirdest positions!  His favorite spot?  Under the covers with me, all night.  Doesn't he get hot?  But I wouldn't have it any other way.

4.  I've started to clean out the girls' closets and have come across so many items that give me all the feelings.  This one is what A wore on her first birthday (with a cute pinkish tutu and a gold hairbow).

5.  Fruit.  Chocolate covered fruit.  Need I say more?  (Maybe I should add that this lasted about 20 hours in my house, oops!)

What has made you happy lately?  You can see more of my happy on Instagram.

Linking up with Tabitha for #imagesofhappy.

Home Sweet Home + Adspace Giveaway!

"Home Sweet Home" has never sounded better.  If you follow me on Twitter you probably saw that my husband and I were stuck in Austin while Chicago got 20 inches of snow over night.  We made it home, and it has never felt better.  I will share more about our trip soon, but wanted to share some Awesome things about being home!

|| The long sleepy hug I got from A this morning.

|| The huge smile on E's face when she saw us.

|| Sleeping in my bed.

|| Puppy kisses as soon as I walked in the door, and cuddling with him all night.

|| Changing my clothes and taking a shower.

|| Coming home to three packages in the mail was fun!

|| Realizing that my amazing neighbors had not only shoveled for us, but cleared my car and shoveled a spot in back for Charlie!

|| Although this was snow's fault, it is truly beautiful outside.

|| A very full DVR.

|| All new makeup.  (We still don't have our bags, so I had to go shopping!)

I am so, so grateful for my wonderful neighbors, their daughter for taking care of Charlie, and my in-laws for having the girls stay with them while we were gone.  I honestly don't know how the weekend would have been without them.  It really takes a village, and this was the perfect example of that!  I wish that you all have neighbors, family and friends nearby and are able to help each other out.  Community is a true blessing!

Blogger Love v.23

It's Friday!  You know what that means - have a drink or two (or three) and enjoy the weekend! But first, let's highlight some posts that we enjoyed from the past week, shall we?

"My Word for 2015" by Love the Here and Now.  Anne picked her word - "challenge", and I could have done the same.  I think we can all challenge ourselves daily, and if you are anything like me, they will be small things... at first.

"Making Room for Baby #2" by Adventures of Bug and Boo.  It wasn't that long ago that I had the same feelings Rebecca has now.  Going from one to two is difficult - especially with all of the "what-if's" and unknowns, but somehow it all works out.  I can't wait to see her family expand!

"The Awesome Thing About Dogs" by Knock on Wood.  It's no secret that I'm a dog lover, and Amanda hits the nail on the head with this one.  Plus, her dog Bear is just the cutest thing ever!

"My Feelings on Minimalism" by Notes From a Newlywed.  This is something I wish I could do.  I feel like my house is being overrun by clutter and I just can't shake it!

What were your favorites?  Link up with us below.  Please include at least one post by a blogger other than yourself, and grab the button if you'd like.  Also, if anyone is interested in designing a button, please email me.  I'd love to add it to my Blogger Love page!
